Beavercreek, Ohio – Parallax Advanced Research appoints Dr. Douglas Matty as its newest board member. His background is in advanced analytics, artificial intelligence technologies, and process improvement. He brings a wealth of expertise and strategic leadership to the Parallax Board of Directors. Throughout his career, Dr. Matty has driven innovation and fostered the growth of cutting-edge technologies within companies and enhanced and built strong enterprise teams through workforce development initiatives.
Experience, Expertise, and Education
From 2020 to 2022, Dr. Matty served as the senior executive director for the U.S. Army Artificial Intelligence Integration Center. During his tenure, he established and led this organization and played a pivotal role in defining and executing the U.S. Army's strategy for artificial intelligence.
Additionally, Dr. Matty co-founded and served from 2005 to 2011 as vice president of Military Affairs for Project Healing Waters, a non-profit organization. His dedication to supporting military personnel and veterans has left an indelible impact on the lives of countless individuals.
Dr. Matty also served as an assistant professor of Mathematical Sciences at the U.S. Military Academy in 2002, further showcasing his commitment to education and the development of future leaders.
Dr. Matty holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School.
