Hello Dayton-area business leaders and Kettering City Schools business partners!
We are excited to extend an invitation to you and your organization to participate in our upcoming YouScience Family Night, an event dedicated to inspiring and educating our 8th grade students and their families about the diverse career opportunities available to them.
Shape the future of our region's talent pipeline by participating with one of our best-positioned school districts when it comes to workforce development initiatives. We'll have possibly 600 Kettering students participating and their families.
Event Details:

- Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Location: Fairmont High School
- Additional Information: Dinner will be provided to all volunteers and set-up will begin at 5:00
Registration: We currently have representation from various sectors but are seeking strong partners in advanced manufacturing, business services, logistics, aerospace, and IT support beyond our current partner, Sinclair College. YouScience, a leading career guidance platform, helps students discover their natural aptitudes through scientifically based assessments, aligning them with in-demand careers. This personalized approach empowers students to make informed, successful decisions about their future careers.
All KCS 8th grade students will take the YouScience assessment the week of Sept. 3. Students and families will then receive a printout of their YouScience results at our October 9th YouScience family night and will be encouraged to visit businesses that align with their aptitudes and interests.
How You Can Get Involved: We invite enthusiastic business leaders to host interactive tables at our event, offering students and families hands-on insights into various industries. Your participation will inspire students to explore new career paths and strengthen connections between local businesses and the community, helping students make informed decisions about their futures.
