Parallax Advanced Research Awarded $97.5 Million MATRIX Contract

On June 13, 2022, Parallax Advanced Research announced a significant achievement: securing a $97.5 million contract with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) for the Mission Analytics Technology and Research for Innovative eXploitation (MATRIX) program. This seven-year contract focuses on advancing human-machine teaming, human performance, and cognitive processes to enhance military operational effectiveness.

Automated Geospatial Intelligence Research

On March 13, 2024, Parallax Advanced Research announced significant advancements in their $5 million Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Detection Algorithms project. This initiative is a key component of the broader $97.5 million MATRIX contract awarded by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), focusing on enhancing battlefield decision-making through advanced AI-driven GEOINT systems.

DRIVE Consortium Launches

On November 18, 2022, the Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI) announced a landmark achievement: securing a $49 million award from the U.S. Air Force to lead the DRIVE Consortium. This six-year project aims to revolutionize the digital transformation of the Air Force’s acquisition, operations, and sustainment processes.

DARPA in the Moment

On July 6, 2023, Parallax Advanced Research was awarded a $4.067 million grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for the In the Moment (ITM) initiative. This research aims to develop trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI) systems capable of making complex decisions in high-stakes scenarios where traditional solutions are not readily applicable. Parallax, in collaboration with Drexel University and Knexus Research Corporation, is focused on advancing human-aligned decision-making technologies for challenging environments, specifically in medical triage and mass casualty care.

Parallax Advanced Research Awarded Contract for GEOCOG

On May 6, 2024, Parallax Advanced Research was awarded a contract to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) GEOCOG program, titled “Mapping the Human Element of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) — Optimizing Analytic Workflow by Assessing Behavioral and Cognitive States.” As a subcontractor to Hughes Research Laboratories (HRL), Parallax is leveraging its expertise to enhance the performance and effectiveness of geospatial intelligence analysts through real-time cognitive and behavioral assessment.
