Dayton, OH – (October 24, 2020) – Today, in a special meeting, Parallax Advanced Research, a new scientific research and development organization was created after the Board of Directors of the (formerly named) Wright State Applied Research Corporation properly approved updated Articles of Incorporation and Code of Regulations under Ohio law.

According to Gayle Rominger, chair of the previous organization’s Board and, now, chair of the new Board of Directors, “we are thrilled to move forward as Parallax Advanced Research. This is a huge step for the region and the state as this is a now a completely independent organization that can work with universities across the state to recruit and retain the best and the brightest scientific and technical talent in the country. The nationally respected research team is better able to pursue even more scientific research opportunities and partnerships with government, academia, business and industry throughout Ohio and the nation.”

“The step we took today refreshes and invigorates and inspires us. It’s a step that creates a dynamic organization to pursue scientific and technology solutions for the U.S. Air Force and our other clients, while enhancing our role as a local, regional, and national engine for economic development,” Rominger said.

Rominger cited the growth of the former organization under the leadership of Dennis Andersh, now CEO of the new Parallax Advanced Research, as an example of the enormous opportunity ahead. Revenue has grown by nearly 52% from $15.1 million in 2016 to $30.6 million in the most recent fiscal year 2020. “We know that this new framework will give us the flexibility to operate at the speed of business and that means success for our clients, our employees, and the entire state of Ohio.”

“Today's rapidly changing global environment demands the best talent and the most agile pursuits of breakthrough technology,” said Lt. General (retired) C.D. Moore, who is Chair of the Governance Committee of the new Parallax Board. “This important step in establishing an independent research organization is critical for our times, our nation, and, especially, for our national defense."
