Le Bourget, France—The Parallax Advanced Research team representing the Ohio Aerospace Institute participated in the Ohio Delegation at the 54th International Paris Air Show from June 19 to 25, 2023. The International Paris Air Show is a prestigious global platform where aviation and space industry leaders converge to explore cutting-edge advancements. As the largest aerospace event worldwide, it fosters engagement with key stakeholders, creates new commercial prospects, and showcases expertise to a global audience. It unites manufacturers, tech users, and industry participants, shaping future collaborations and reinforcing the industry's collective vision. 

 

 

The Team Ohio Delegation 

Parallax Advanced Research, the Ohio Aerospace Institute, JobsOhio, and the Ohio Department of Development partnered to design and develop the 2023 Ohio Delegation, which showcased as part of the USA Partnership Pavilion. The delegation comprised of members representing the Dayton Development Coalition, REDI Cincinnati, Team NEO, Clampco, General Tool, Halliday Technologies, Martin Machine, Master Fluids, North American Coating Laboratories, ZIN Technologies, Kent State University, NASA Glenn, and The Ohio State University. 

Meeting with Government Stakeholders and Decision-makers 

On the first day of the event, Team Ohio had the privilege of meeting with J.D. Vance, US Senator from Ohio, and Don Graves, the 19th Deputy Secretary of Commerce, at the Ohio booth. The team held productive conversations with the senator and deputy secretary and explored avenues for international industry-government collaboration and growth in Ohio.

Meeting Astronaut Charlie Duke 

The Ohio Delegation also had the opportunity to shake hands with none other than Astronaut Charlie Duke, the Lunar Module pilot of Apollo 16 in 1972. He holds the distinction as the 10th and youngest person to walk on the Moon, achieving this feat at the age of 36 years and 201 days.  

 
 

The Ohio Delegation Meets with Industry to Explore Collaboration on Aerospace Innovation and Manufacturing 

The show drew an impressive crowd of over 300,00 trade visitors from 185 countries, all enthusiastic about exploring the latest advancements in aerospace technology. This event presented Team Ohio with an exceptional chance to establish connections with industry representatives from international businesses, showcase Ohio's aerospace innovation, and explore opportunities for collaboration within the global community. The Team Ohio booth became a hub for productive discussions with industry representatives, fostering the goal of enhancing collaboration between Ohio's aerospace capabilities and the global market.  

Overall, Team Ohio’s participation was a resounding success, reinforcing Ohio's commitment to advancing aerospace innovation globally. We look forward to participating in future Paris Air Shows.
