Parallax Advanced Research earned a Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency in November 2022. This is Parallax’s first year earning the designation, and it demonstrates Parallax’s commitment to transparency and accountability. Candid, formerly Guidestar, is the world’s largest source of nonprofit information and is designed to provide stakeholders with critical information about nonprofit organizations.

The platinum seal is Candid’s highest possible rating and winning it indicates that Parallax exceeds nonprofit industry standards regarding transparency. To receive the 2022 Platinum Seal, Parallax proactively shared information about its mission, capabilities, strategy, financials, diverse workforce, CEO leadership initiatives, and impacts/results.

“Integrity is a core value at Parallax, so it’s critical that we extend transparency to our stakeholders and to the public,” said Parallax Chief of Organizational Transformation, Angela Smith. “We are stewards of state and federal resources, and we want our stakeholders to know they can support our work with trust and confidence.”

The Platinum Seal holds significant weight in the nonprofit community and is widely accepted as the “gold standard” of nonprofit integrity. There are 1.7 million nonprofits registered with the IRS. Fewer than 1% are awarded the Platinum Seal of Transparency, which makes those that earn it an elite group.
