Emergent Defense Magazine has named Parallax Advanced Research to the 2025 Impact 100: Most Impactful Organizations in the Defense Industry Ecosystem and recognized as one of the 2025 Best Workplaces in Defense. These honors signal that Parallax represents what the defense innovation ecosystem deems important: mission-aligned outcomes, trusted collaboration, and organizations that can translate research and emerging technology into real capability.

“We are sincerely grateful to our team in helping us achieve these honors,” said Wayne Denny, COO, Parallax/Ohio Aerospace Institute. “The team across Parallax/OAI brings a combination of technical depth, mission focus, and collaborative instinct. Their work is the foundation of everything these awards represent. We also thank our partners and collaborators across government, industry, and academia. Parallax’s mission is built on strategic partnerships, and our impact is inseparable from the trust and shared commitment of the organizations and stakeholders we work alongside.”

What the Impact 100 Represents—and What Impact Means to Us

Emergent Defense created the Impact 100 list to spotlight organizations across the defense ecosystem that demonstrate the ability to bring about creative solutions, collaborate successfully, and support combat readiness.

At Parallax/Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI), we define “being impactful” as being able to provide solutions that enable better informed decisions and reliability where technical complexity and operational urgency intersect. That includes advancing human-machine teaming, mission analytics, and decision advantage, accelerating digital transformation, and moving innovations from concept to reality through thoughtful partnerships.

“Our role in the ecosystem is connective,” said Denny. “We bridge government, industry, and academia so that the right expertise can converge on the right problem at the right time. It is the kind of integration that is important for turning potential into performance.”

Why Being a Best Place to Work Matters in a Mission-Driven Environment

The Emergent Defense 2025 Best Workplaces in Defense is an award intended to recognize top workplaces across the country, selected by an editorial committee, and profiled in the publication’s print edition.

In defense innovation, a highly functional workplace is key. It determines whether teams can tackle hard problems, whether they can collaborate across disciplines and organizations, and whether they can sustain the rigor required to deliver for the mission.

“Our team has worked intentionally to build an environment grounded in technical excellence, accountability and operational relevance,” said Denny. “We believe people do their best work when they have the purpose, resources, support to achieve the mission, and have an organization that invests in their growth.”

Looking Forward

Parallax will continue investing in the capabilities, partnerships, and people that accelerate responsible innovation and deliver mission advantage.

“We are proud to be part of an ecosystem defined by service, ingenuity, and urgency,” said Denny. “And we are committed to earning this trust every day through the outcomes we enable and the way we do the work.”
